The Heaven & Earth - Mountain Dojo Complex
The Heaven & Earth dojo is located on Taipei's, "Five Finger Mountain", which is about 10 minutes up from Nei Hu's, Da Hu Park. The training facility is situated away from the noise and pollution of the city. It is an excellent environment for training in the Martial Art of Aikido. The fresh air, natural landscape and scenic view create an enjoyable and relaxing training atmosphere for everyone. It is a little bit difficult to get to unless you have your own transportation and directions, but it is a great environment for practicing the Martial Arts. There is a bus that comes up the mountain from the Kunyang subway station. Soon (so they say) we will have a subway stop right down the mountain from which will make it much easier to find us. If you ever have difficulty in finding us please give us a call and we will be happy to provide you with detailed instructions. Here are some photos of the dojo for your reference.
Directions to the Mountain Dojo The best way to get to the Heaven & Earth - Aikido Dojo is through Neihu. Even though our mailing address is Hsih Dze you or a Taxi will never find us by way of Hsih Dze. We are about 5 minutes up the mountain from Neihu's Dahu Park. First time visitors please call me before hand, I may be able to pick you up and bring you up the mountain by car.
If you have your own transportation and are driving then follow these instructions #1. Get yourself to Neihu's Dahu Park ( Da Hu Gong Yuan) #2. At the top of the hill at the park is a fire and police station with a Burger King Across the street. #3. What you want to do is turn into "Da Hu San Chuang" at "Burger King. #4. Follow that road back and you'll pass a Primary School on your left. #5. Turn right at 711 and head up the mountain. #6. You'll travel up the mountain for 5 - 10 minutes minutes.
#7. Turn left at the first driveway after the 22 Kilometer marker.
#8. Go through the gate and you are there Public Transportation to the Mountain Dojo From the Kunyung MTR. #1. Go to the Kunyung station which is the last stop on the "Blue Line". #2. Go out exit #1 and cross the street to the bus stop in front of McDonalds. #3. Catch the S3 bus to go up the mountain 30-40 minutes. #4. Call us and we will pick you up from the last stop. If you will be coming up from Neihu. #1. Get yourself to the Der An Department store. #2. Across the street (Opposite) the front of the department store is a fairly large bus stop which is in front of an appliance store. #3. You'll want to catch the S3 bus. It's one of those mini busses and it's red. #4. You'll be on the bus for about 10 minutes it will go straight for a short time, turns left at Burger King onto some side streets, then turns right at a 711 then starts going up the mountain, at first you might wonder where am I going because there is nothing as you start going up the mountain. After about 5 minutes on the mountain you will see a community of several houses. #4. Call us and we will pick you up from the last stop. These are the scheduled times that the S3 bus leaves Kunyung MTR station. If you are catching the bus in Neihu then you will need to add about 30minutes to each scheduled departure time. Coming down the mountain then figure about 45 minutes.
